English Australia

English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS)

English Australia is the national peak body for the ELICOS sector and publishes annual data on international ELICOS students in Australia both on student visas and on other types of visas.

This annual Survey of major ELICOS Regional Markets report is funded by the Australian Government, through the Department of Education and Training.

Offshore Programs and International Links

The information was supplied by member universities in response to a survey undertaken in 2011-12. The survey identified offshore programs delivered in partnership with an international institution or through the 21 offshore Australian university campuses established at the time of the survey. The survey also sought to identify all formal institution-to-institution agreements between Australian universities and overseas higher education institutions. Agreements include cooperation facilitating student exchanges, study abroad arrangements, staff exchanges and academic/research collaboration.

HESA is the official agency for the collection, analysis and dissemination of quantitative information about higher education in the UK, including domestic and international students at higher education institutions.

CIC’s statistical publications provide information on permanent and temporary residents as well as immigration and citizenship programs in Canada. Included in the information on temporary residents is information on foreign students at all levels of education.

Education Counts is an official government source of information about international students studying in NZ. It includes international students’ progression through the New Zealand education system, their academic achievement, support provided for international students and international students’ experiences in New Zealand. It also includes information of graduate employment outcomes and graduates ongoing links to New Zealand as alumni.
