Senator the Hon Christopher Evans, Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Jobs and Workplace Relations, attended the East Asia Summit (EAS) Education Ministers Meeting (EMM) in Bali, Indonesia on 18 July 2011.
At the meeting Education Ministers agreed to:
Cooperation through the EAS will build the capacity of EAS member countries education systems and promote cross-border and international education. Strengthening the quality and transparency of EAS education systems, which include most of Australia’s key education partners, will support the long-term sustainability of Australia’s international education sector.
