In February 2012, AEI New Delhi celebrated the success of the 2012 Australia Award – Endeavour recipients, with around 250 people including Australian alumni members of MyOzNetwork (www.myoznetwork.com).  Professor Ved Prakash, Chairman, University Grants Commission, and Mr Sahil Shroff, Actor, Model and Australian Alumni (pictured), were honoured guests at the occasion.

A total 291 Indian scholars and professionals have been awarded Australia Awards – Endeavour since 2007.  Twenty six Indians received Endeavour Awards in 2012, including three prestigious Prime Minister Australia-Asia Awards.  Australian High Commissioner to India, Mr Peter Varghese AO (pictured), presented the 2012 Australia Awards – Endeavour scholarship certificates signed by the Minister for Tertiary Education, Senator the Hon Chris Evans.

The award ceremony coincided with the second anniversary celebration of MyOzNetwork.com – a networking portal for Indians with education and training connections to Australia.  Around 2400 members are now connected online.
