Forty years of Australia-China collaboration and exchange in education, science and research
This publication was developed with the support of DIICCSRTE to mark 40 years of diplomatic relations between Australia and China and to highlight the key role education and science cooperation has played in the relationship.
This book sets out to tell the story, in human terms, of a remarkable event: the rise and growth of Australia-China collaboration and exchange in education, science and research. It brings together stories of people, who through their engagement with each other's country, in study, exchange or research, have created opportunities and inspiration for others to follow.
The book was launched by the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Julia Gillard MP, on 9 April 2013 during her visit to Beijing where she hosted a special dinner celebrating our education, science and research relationship.
