Hosting a Chinese expert on overseas qualifications

​International Group was privileged to host an Endeavour Executive Fellow, Ms Xing Xiong, Deputy Director of the Overseas Credentials Evaluation Department of the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), which is the overseas qualification evaluation authority in China.

CSCSE is responsible for developing the evaluation criteria for the recognition of Australian qualifications for employment, study, licensing for regulated professions and visa approvals. CSCSE evaluates 13,000 Australian qualifications per year. Ms Xiong recently presented on her Endeavour experience, describing it as a “once in a lifetime opportunity” and fed back how her understanding of the quality assurance of the Australian education system and the qualifications recognition architecture has deepened to support her role in assessing Australian qualifications. She presented an overview of the Chinese higher education system. Ms Xiong’s participation in the Endeavour program has further strengthened the Department’s relationship with the CSCSE which will continue to support student and labour mobility between Australia and China.

The Endeavour Executive Fellowship provides financial support towards professional development opportunities (1-4 months) for high achievers in business, industry, education or government for international and Australian applicants.
