Page Content

The Indonesian Government requires foreign researchers conducting research activities in Indonesia to obtain a research permit and research visa. This guide outlines the process for applying for the permit and visa, which researchers must obtain prior to conducting research activities in Indonesia.

The guide was developed by the department’s Counsellor (Education and Science) in Jakarta with the support of the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Technology. If you would like further information, please contact the department’s Counsellor, Liz Campbell-Dorning at elizabeth.campbell-dorning@dfat.gov.au or +62 (21) 2550 5549.
