Erasmus for All is the new programme for education, training, and youth proposed by the European Commission on 23 November 2011 and due to launch in January 2014. The proposal is now under discussion by the European Council (27 Member States) and the European Parliament who will make the final decision.
Erasmus for All would bring together all the current EU and international schemes for education, training, and youth, replacing seven existing programmes with one. This will increase efficiency, make it easier to apply for grants, as well as reducing duplication and fragmentation.
The programme offers financial support for institutions and scholarships for individuals and is to be extended to non-EU universities for the first time.
