Endeavour scholarship and grant programmes - 2017 rounds now open

The Minister for Tourism and International Education, Senator Richard Colbeck announced the opening of the 2017 rounds of the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships and the Endeavour Mobility Grants on 19 April 2016.

These scholarships, fellowships and grants support two-way engagement between Australia and the rest of the world by providing opportunities for Australian and overseas students, researchers and professionals to access learning and research opportunities.

Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are competitive, merit-based scholarships and fellowships providing opportunities for Australians to undertake study, research or professional development overseas and for overseas citizens to do the same in Australia.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers and professionals are strongly encouraged to apply for an Endeavour Scholarship or Fellowship including the Endeavour Research Fellowship for Indigenous Australians.

Endeavour Mobility Grants support tertiary education students to have a study experience overseas that contributes to their Australian qualification. The Department of Education and Training provides funding to Australian institutions which in turn provide grants to students to enable their participation in a mobility project overseas.

The scholarships and fellowships are paid directly to individual recipients, whereas the mobility grants are paid to students through education providers.
