EGI Projects

Enabling Growth and Innovation Program

The Enabling Growth and Innovation (EGI) Program was announced in the 2016-17 Budget with funding of $3 million per annum to support the implementation of the National Strategy for International Education 2025 (the National Strategy). The objective of the EGI Program is to support big-picture projects that develop Australia’s role as a global leader in education, training and research. Projects must contribute to at least one of the goals of the National Strategy and benefit the broader Australian international education community. Two funding rounds have now been held, with a total of 28 projects funded.

2018-19 Funding Opportunities

In 2018-19, EGI funding will support priority activities identified by the Council for International Education. Activities have been developed to directly align with Council priorities and the agreed issues to be addressed in 2019.

Projects will be delivered through procurement processes in line with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013. The details of projects to be commissioned will be published on this site.
