Page Content

The Australian Government has released exposure drafts of the Education Services for Overseas Students Amendment (Streamlining Regulation) Bill 2015 and the Education Services for Overseas Students (Registration Charges) Amendment (Streamlining Regulation) Bill 2015 for public consultation.

Education institutions, peak bodies and other interested stakeholders are encouraged to make a written submission on the draft Bills, which propose changes to streamline quality assurance arrangements and reduce red tape for education institutions.

The exposure drafts of the Bills, an explanatory overview and submission template are available here: https://submissions.education.gov.au/forms/Exposure-drafts-of-Education-Services-for-Overseas-Students-Bills/pages/form.

Written submissions using the template provided should be made before 5.00 pm AEST, Friday August 7 2015.

Given that the Bills are subject to parliamentary timeframes, no extension on the due date for submissions will be given.

Submissions may be published at a later date.
