CRICOS Cost Recovery Consultation Paper

Page Content
The Department of Education is currently reviewing the cost recovery arrangements for education providers delivering courses to international students through the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). As part of this process, the department is developing a new CRICOS charging structure in accordance with ASQA and TEQSA’s move to full cost-recovery on 1 July 2020, whereby all ESOS agencies will directly recover their own costs for quality assurance, regulation and monitoring activities.

The department’s CRICOS Cost Recovery Consultation Paper is published here, which outlines the framework for the proposed changes and the legislative amendments required to facilitate these changes. The department is accepting feedback on these proposed changes to the department’s cost recovery arrangements by 5pm on Tuesday, 11 February 2020.
