“Have fun with Science and Technology”
A resource for teachers and students in Vietnam and Australia
Questacon’s tour of Vietnam in April 2013 attracted 7,000 visitors to science shows in Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City. Questacon staff conducted workshops for Vietnamese science teachers, demonstrating how inexpensive, ready available materials can be used in simple experiments.
To mark with the visit, AEI Vietnam compiled an English-Vietnamese science workbook “Have fun with Science and Technology” bringing together 50 Questacon experiments. This booklet provides simple ideas for students, teachers and parents to explore science whilst assisting their learning of English.
The workbook will assist Vietnam’s goal of teaching science in English by 2020. It is also proving to be a useful resource for Vietnamese students of English and Australian teachers and students of the Vietnamese language.
