The Korean Government is inviting applications from Australian university students and graduates for the following scholarship programs that support native English speakers to teach English in South Korea. These programs provide a great opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture and support quality English education in Korea.

Teach and Learn in Korea (TaLK)

The Teach and Learn in Korea (TaLK) Program supports current university students (that have completed at least 2 years of their degree) and recent university graduates from Australia to teach in the after-school English program at a rural elementary school. Benefits include a monthly allowance, accommodation, medical insurance, orientation, settlement allowance and more. 6 or 12 month scholarship terms are available. For further information please see www.talk.go.kr.

English Program in Korea (EPIK)

Australian graduates with a bachelor degree in either education, English, English literature or linguistics are invited to apply for the English Program in Korea (EPIK). EPIK supports native English teachers to work in South Korean schools and assist with English classes with a Korean co-teacher (Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day). Benefits include a monthly salary of KRW 1.8 to 2.7 million, accommodation, orientation, settlement allowance, vacation leave and more. For further information please see www.epik.go.kr.
