MasterChef in India

Page Content
Students from 15 Delhi schools participated in a ‘kids in the kitchen’ workshop with MasterChef Australia’s Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris as part of Ozfest – the largest Australian cultural festival ever to be held in India.

Oz Fest, which ran from 16 October 2012 to 5 February 2013, showcased the creativity, dynamism and diversity of Australia through major events across India focussing on Australian music, art, food, literature, ideas and more. The event saw the Australian Government working with 24 government, business, institutional and production partners to present over 100 events in 18 locations across India.

Oz Fest’s arts and cultural program was complemented by business and industry networking events across four cities, with a focus on innovation, science and technology; mining and resources; and food and beverage.

The MasterChef workshop was organised by AEI New Delhi and MasterChef’s Gary and George, who have become household names in India through MasterChef Australia, proved a big hit with students and Principals alike.
