Online Survey for National Consultations on International Student Mental Health and Safety

Orygen is now inviting international students and the international education sector to participate in an online survey on the scope of supports and services currently available to international students.

The national consultations aim to better understand the ways in which the mental wellbeing and physical safety of international students are being supported by providers across the international education sector. This includes Australian higher education providers, vocational education and training (VET) providers, registered training organisations (RTO), and English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers.

These consultations will build on work already underway in the sector to better understand the needs of international students.

They are an opportunity for the sector to model best practice, and to consider how sector as a whole can improve the response to mental health and safety issues among international students.

If you are a student, are working for an institution providing support to international students, or know someone who is, we would love to hear about these experiences in an online survey. The survey will be open until 28 February 2020.

Further updates will be provided as they become available.
