International Group’s - Annual data for 2016 and findings from the 2016 International student Survey paint a very positive picture of the international student experience in Australia. The 2016 international Students Data shows a record 554,179 international students studying in Australia, an increase of over 10 per cent on the previous survey. The latest 2016 International Student Survey results reveal that nearly 90% of international students were satisfied, or very satisfied with their overall experience in Australia. This is a higher score than the global average reported by international students studying in other countries such as the US and the UK. The 2016 survey is the fourth in a biennial series conducted across Australia since 2010. The latest survey had the largest response rate with over 65,000 international students providing feedback on their learning and living experiences across all major educations sectors – higher education, vocational education and training, schools and English language colleges.
